AMS 2025 Annual Meeting Updates

This past week, I attended the AMS annual meeting in New Orleans, LA. It was a wonderful opportunity to see old colleagues, make new connections, and be inspired by the diverse research presented. This year, I presented on how different initial and boundary conditions in numerical weather simulations impact our ability to accurately capture precipitation processes and amounts during winter storms. You can see the abstract and slides here. We have also submitted the results for publication, so keep an eye out for that later this year!

Also at AMS, I had the opportunity to co-chair a session on Grid Operations and Outage Prediction, which was great session and a first time experience for me.

As for the spring semester, I will officially start working on my NASA FINESST grant I received over the summer. I am excited to see where this works takes me!
